O-topia History

O-topia has been compared to Shangri La, as a mystical, harmonious valley, enclosed in the high Cascade Mountains of Oregon. O-topia has become synonymous with an earthly paradise, particularly a mythical enduringly happy land, isolated from the world. The beavers who live in O-topia are almost immortal, living hundreds of years beyond the normal lifespan and only very slowly aging in appearance

Sometime at the end of the Paleolithic period (10,000BC) evolutionary pressures acted on the North American Beavers (canadensis) where a small isolated group of Oregon beaver’s morphology began to radically deviate from the main colony. This moment in time is referred to as the “BEAVER BIG BANG”“ (BBB).

First, larger heads and brains developed. next, opposing thumbs emerged that allowed a giant leap forward for them in so many ways that can’t be overlooked. about this same time these newly evolved beavers discovered that mixing special tree sap with pure Oregon water created delicious IPA beer, and from this point forward they self Identified themselves as “Oregon Beervers” (can-a-guinness), leaving their beaver cousins behind for good. A good analogy of this episode is similar to the difference between Modern man and the Neanderthals.

Some have asked, “Why do they always have a smile on their face”? It is said that some 3000 years ago a beaver named Buddhi, (pronounced like buddy), was transformed by sitting for many, many days under an Oregon Beer Tree near a bubbling spring. He was able to enter a state of elevated consciousness where the true essence of life became very clear to him. He had entered a state referred to as “Beervana”. It is now believed that a high percentage of the beavers have learned this secret of “transcendent mind state of pure happiness”.
